Empat Kebebasa GPL

Dalam lisensi GPL alias General Public License yakni lisensi publik umum yang melawan monopoli hak cipta terdapat empat kebebasan yang wajib dimiliki pengguna perangkat lunak komputer. Isi dari GPL tersebut adalah sbb.

1. Freedom 0: The freedom to run the software for any purpose.
2. Freedom 1: The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to do what you wish.
3. Freedom 2: The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help neighbor.
4. Freedom 3: The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements (and modified versions in general) to the public, so that the whole community benefits.
